And here’s number 52 of 52…

My final book of 2011 was Bloodlines by John Piper. It is a very good book about Race and the Gospel. Here is a line from the back of the book:
Learn to pursue ethnic harmony from a biblical perspective, and to relate to real people different from yourself, as you take part in the bloodline of Jesus that is comprised of “every tongue, tribe, and nation.”

At work a few months ago, I got to work on a fun project. LifeWay was putting together an exclusive Christmas compilation CD and asked the designers in my area to submit designs. After they narrowed it down, mine was picked. It was sent to the record label that was putting the CD together. They added a border with the artists on the compilation to the cover and designed the rest of the package. And recently I found out that it is doing very well on the Billboard Charts. So far the CD has gotten as high as 46 out of all album sells for that week, 6th of holiday albums, and 2nd of Christian albums. While I know that the artists on the CD are what has sold so many copies, as well as LifeWay’s sale price of $5, it is still pretty cool to see this CD climb the charts.
Here it is on LifeWay.com • Here is the Billboard Chart page.

This year’s Christmas Tree looks much like last year’s. Here’s a close up of this year’s (with a bonus self-portrait if you look close).
